Blur image FAQ

How do I blur part of an image?

Choose Selected areas, then drag a box over each face, name, or detail you want hidden. You can move, resize, or delete each box, add as many as 50, and download the result.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Decoding, blurring, previewing, and exporting all happen in your browser. AICurate never receives or stores the image.

How do I blur the background of a photo?

Choose Entire image for a soft overall look. To keep a subject sharp, use Selected areas and draw boxes over the background around it, then raise the strength until it looks right.

Is blurring enough to hide sensitive information?

A strong blur hides most details, but a light blur can leave large text or shapes readable. Use a high strength for text and numbers, then zoom in on the downloaded file to confirm nothing is legible before you share it.

Will the blurred image keep its original size?

Yes. The preview is scaled to fit your screen, but downloads are drawn at the source width and height. PNG keeps transparency, while JPEG fills transparent areas with white.
