How do I open an EPUB file online?
Select Choose EPUB file or drag a .epub file onto the reader. The book opens in your browser in a few seconds, with no account, extension, or app to install.
Is my ebook uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and rendered entirely in your browser. AICurate never receives, stores, or sees your book, and the reader keeps working after the page has loaded even if you go offline.
Does the reader remember my place?
Yes. Your position in each book and your reading settings are saved in this browser's local storage. Open the same book again on the same device and it resumes where you stopped. Clearing site data removes the saved positions.
Can it open EPUB books with DRM?
No. Books protected by DRM, such as many purchases from Kindle, Kobo, or Apple Books, are encrypted and cannot be opened. DRM-free EPUB 2 and EPUB 3 files up to 100 MB work.
Can I change the font and use a dark theme?
Yes. Open Settings to change the font size, font family, and line spacing, and to switch between light, sepia, and dark themes. Reset settings returns everything to the defaults.
