Free Video Trimmer Online

A video trimmer cuts unwanted footage from the start or end of a video and saves only the part you keep as a new clip. This free video trimmer works in your browser: pick exact start and end times, preview the cut, and download the clip with no watermark and no upload.

How it works

Trim a video in four private steps

  1. Choose a video

Select or drag in an MP4, MOV, WebM, or other video your browser can play, up to 2 GB. The file stays on your device.

  2. Set the start and end

Drag the sliders, type exact timestamps such as 1:05.250, or pause the player and use the current frame as a trim point.

  3. Preview the cut

Play only the selected range and adjust either point until the clip begins and ends where you want.

  4. Export and download

Create the trimmed clip in your browser, watch the result, and download it as MP4 or WebM with no watermark.

Video trimmer FAQ

How do I trim a video online for free?

Choose a video, set the start and end times with the sliders or timestamp fields, preview the selection, then select Create trimmed clip and download the result. There is no account, payment, or watermark.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. The video is played, trimmed, and encoded by your own browser. AICurate never receives or stores the file.

Can I cut an MP4 online and keep it as MP4?

Yes in Chrome, Edge, and Safari, which save the clip as MP4 (H.264 and AAC). Firefox and some older browsers save WebM instead. The page shows the format before you export.

Why does exporting take as long as the clip?

Your browser records the selected range in real time while it plays, so a 30 second clip takes about 30 seconds. Keep the tab open and visible until it finishes, or cancel at any time.

Does trimming change the video quality?

The clip is re-encoded, so it can look slightly different from the original. Output is capped at 1920 pixels on the long side, clips can be up to 10 minutes, and cut points are accurate to about one frame.
